The potentialities of\u00a0<strong>thermal energy storage (TES) systems<\/strong>, able to provide\u00a0<strong>electricity load shifting<\/strong>\u00a0by mean of energy conversion and storage, can help in developing flexible energy systems, managing the intrinsically intermittent nature of renewable energy sources.
